Terms of service
Last updated: October 10, 2026
This is an English translation provided for convenience. The Spanish version, Términos de servicio, is the governing version.
1. About this site
This site belongs to Víctor López Valerio, a physician specialized in Orthopedics and Traumatology practicing in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. By using it you accept these terms.
2. General information, not a consultation
Articles, videos, treatment pages and FAQs are informational. They are not a diagnosis or a treatment recommendation for your case. Only a medical assessment can tell what is right for you. Reading the site or messaging us on WhatsApp does not by itself create a doctor-patient relationship; that starts with a consultation, in person or by video.
3. The knee test and IKDC calculator are for guidance
Their results are based on medical scales but are only a guide. They do not confirm or rule out an injury and should not be used on their own to decide whether to have surgery.
4. Emergencies
Do not use WhatsApp or this site for emergencies. If you have severe leg pain with swelling, shortness of breath, chest pain, fever after surgery or an injury that keeps you from bearing weight, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
5. Appointments, quotes and prices
Appointments are confirmed by WhatsApp or phone. Price ranges mentioned in some articles are general and are not a quote. The actual cost depends on the diagnosis, procedure, hospital and materials, and is provided in writing after the assessment.
6. Testimonials
Reviews and patient photos show real, individual experiences, published with permission. They do not guarantee the same result for you. Reviews shown in English are translated from Spanish.
7. Site content
Text, photos, videos, logos and design belong to the site owner or are used with permission. You may share links; ask for permission before reproducing content elsewhere.
8. Third-party links
The site links to third-party services such as WhatsApp, Google Maps, YouTube, Doctoralia and social networks, each with its own terms and privacy policies.
9. Liability
We try to keep the information accurate and current, but medicine changes and errors can occur. We are not responsible for decisions made solely on the basis of the site's content without a medical assessment.
10. Privacy
The use of your personal data is governed by our privacy notice.
11. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the current version is the one published on this page. These terms are governed by the laws of Mexico, and any dispute will be resolved before the courts of Monterrey, Nuevo León.
